Diseño Gráfico 1 Proyectos

Martes 24/8 - Miércoles 25/8

Proyecto Acerca de Mí

Overview

You will be creating a calendar for just one month to create a class calendar for the next year. Your month should be represented clearly by using elements that speak to the month and are created by you. Use inspiration from Smashing Magazine if need be. You final designs will be sent out to North staff so they can update their computer wallpaper with your design each month!

Objective - What is the problem I need to solve?

  • How will I lay out a creative calendar design?

  • How will I ensure I am using columns, guides and margins successfully?

  • How will I create an engaging and creative design for North staff?

Project Requirements

  • The correct dates are used

  • Guides are used correctly

  • Your design accurately reflects the month

  • You incorporate North Vikings somehow. This could be the logo or in some other manner.

Extension Calendar Submission - Extra Credit

Smashing Magazine looks for calendar submissions each month from around the world. At the end of the project you can submit your calendar design into their contest so it has an opportunity to be downloaded around the world. It takes a little extra work to setup your files correctly and Mr. Wiant can help.

Wallpaper Guidelines

Step 1: Brainstorming Steps

  1. Create a new folder inside your Final folder and name it “Calendar”.

  2. Create a new Google Doc inside your project folder and copy and paste the Calendar Creative Brief into this new doc.

  3. Fill out the top of the Creative Brief and title it by clicking on Untitled Document.

  4. Complete the Creative Brief brainstorming steps.

Step 2: Project Steps

1. Create a one page document with the following settings:

            Size - 2500x1600px

            Margins - Top 80px, Bottom 80px, Left 0px, Right 0px

2. Once you create the document, you will need to adjust columns and or guides to successfully lay out your design. Leave your margins because this is your “Safe” area where no important information should live.

3. Use Illustrator or Photoshop to create your design elements and begin to lay out your design in InDesign.

Step 3: Turn In Directions

1. Save your AI file as “lastName_Calendar”.

2. Export your file as a JPG by going to File>Export and changing the format to JPG.

  • Quality: High

  • Resolution: 300

  • Color Space: RGB

3.Complete the self-evaluation and grading on the rubric.

4. Complete and submit the checklist in Schoology.
